OREANDA-NEWS.  International rating agency Fitch Ratings downgraded rating of Ukraine from “В-“ to “ССС”. Consequently, such rating actions influenced on Ukrainian banks, since rating of banks can not be higher that rating of the country.

Thus, agency downgraded Long-term foreign currency Issuer Default Ratings to “CCC” from “B-“ of 13 Ukrainian banks, among them JSCB “INDUSTRIALBANK” is.

According to Oksana Grebinskaya, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSCB “INDUSTRIALBANK”, Fitch Ratings revised country ceiling rating of Ukraine. As a result, ratings of financial institutions and largest enterprises of the country were amended. “Due to exacerbation of political crisis in Ukraine,  Fitch Ratings revised ratings of all Ukrainian banks being parties to contracts with the mentioned agency. But, notwithstanding current events, INDUSTRIALBANK keeps complying with its obligations to the customers, state and partner banks”, - the banker adds.
