OREANDA-NEWS. MegaFon summed up its work during the Winter Olympics. During eighteen days, guests at the world's main sporting event pumped MegaFon's networks with about 500 TB of Internet traffic and talked for approximately 100 million minutes.

At every Olympic venue, all of MegaFon's networks in 2G/3G/4G standards worked without interruption. During the Games, the company's customers talked more than 100 million minutes and sent 40 million SMS- messages. The volume of downloaded/transferred Internet traffic of the Olympics guests exceeded 500 TB, which is comparable to downloading 3.3 billion photos in Instagram. MegaFon's average mobile internet speed at the Games in 3G was 3 Mbit/s, and in 4G it reached 20 Mbit/s.
