OREANDA-NEWS. British sports and luxury car manufacturer Jaguar today announced the official launch of a new range of footwear, designed and created in collaboration with Oliver Sweeney. The new range of F-TYPE-inspired Jaguar by Oliver Sweeney driving shoes will be available to purchase at the new Jaguar Land Rover stand at the forthcoming Geneva International Motor Show, March 4-16, 2014.

Jaguar advanced design director Julian Thomson joined Oliver Sweeney's cobbler-in-chief, Tim Cooper, at the shoemaker's London studio to develop the new range. Taking inspiration from materials and finishes applied to the F-TYPE sports car, the Jaguar by Oliver Sweeney range combines two distinct British product styles - each with a shared focus on quality, technical craftsmanship and attention to detail. The range of footwear is available in a combination of carbon fibre print leathers and sandwich nubuck leathers, in red, navy and black - colours derived from the interior of the F-TYPE sports car. Priced from GBP 195 to GBP 225, the launch collection features a men's and ladies' range of both lace-up and slip-on driving shoes.

Tim Cooper, Oliver Sweeney cobbler-in-chief, said: “For us, Jaguar encompasses perfection beyond just intuitively rewarding performance vehicles. Their sports cars deliver an instantly engaging driving experience, which our range of Jaguar by Oliver Sweeney driver shoes perfectly complements.

“Designed using our Anatomical Last™ technology, the shoes are styled on a device that mimics as closely as possible the natural contours of the foot and we have removed the shank to sustain extensive durability and flexibility. This ensures our shoes provide a real connection between the driver, vehicle and road.”
