OREANDA-NEWS. On 24-28 February 2014, in Paris, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is organizing several events in the field of competition policy.

These events include, in particular, sessions of OECD Competition Committee and its Working Groups, Global Competition Forum, as well as the a session of the Steering Group of the International Competition Network.

Representatives of non-government institutions, the heads of competition authorities and international organizations from over 100 states are taking part in the events, including a delegation of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) led by Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsyganov.

The agenda includes discussions of the issues related to economic challenges (NAEC); competition evaluation methods and assessment of state influence measures; investigations of completed transactions that are not subject to notification, and reconsidering 1995 Recommendations on international cooperation.

In particular, the annual session of Global Competition Forum in 2014 focused on such key issues as supporting competition, anti-corruption efforts and competition in medicine distribution.
