OREANDA-NEWS. On 27th February, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) imposed administrative fines upon several cartel participants on the market of supplying pangasius fillet produced in Vietnam to Russia.

In particular, “Russian Fish Company” CJSC, “Mega Line” Ltd., “Pervomaisky Cold-Store Facility” Trading House” Ltd. were fined over 30 million RUB in total.

“In the near future the procedure of holding other cartel participants administratively liable shall be completed”, said Deputy Head of FAS, Alexander Kinev.

In September 2013, FAS found that “Russian Fish Company” CJSC, “Atlantic-Pacific” CJSC, “AMIFISH” Ltd., “Mega Line” Ltd., and “Pervomaisky Cold-Store Facility” Trading House” Ltd. violated the antimonopoly law by taking part in the agreement (cartel) that resulted or could have resulted in fixing, maintaining prices and dividing the market of pangasius fillet upon the volume of goods purchasing and sales.

FAS also found that the “Association of Production and Trading Companies on the Fish Market” violated the antimonopoly law through prohibited coordination of economic activity of economic entities.

The “Association of Production and Trading Companies on the Fish Market” was also imposed a fine.

The materials of the antimonopoly case are forwarded to the Ministry of Interior to open a criminal case against company's officials.
