OREANDA-NEWS. In February 2014 Pikalevskiy Cement, a member of EUROCEMENT Group, donated 10 tons of high-quality environmentally-friendly cement for renovating the building of the Tikhvin Diocesan Administration of the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Savior in the town of Tikhvin.

The independent Tikhvin Diocese was established on March 12, 2013, when it split off the Saint Petersburg eparchy. Simultaneously, it was included in the newly-established Archdiocese of Saint Petersburg.

Since a long time ago, Pikalevskiy Cement has rendered assistance to the Tikhvin Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Savior. For example, in 2012, cement was donated to pour a floor in the cathedral building. In 2013, Pikalevskiy Cement also donated cement for constructing the foundation in the House of Mercy banya for the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Savior.
