OREANDA-NEWS.   The conference “Derivatives & Risk Management Russia & CIS” was held in Moscow by Global Financial Conferences.

Participants had an opportunity to discuss topical issues connected to the Russian derivative market’s regulation, as well as regulatory adaptation with respect to changes in the financial market. The delegates also considered new opportunities and problems connected with the emergence of repositories in Russia and recent initiatives in the sphere of clearing OTC derivatives via a central counterparty. In addition to this, an overview of Russian derivative market was presented to the guests and participants.

Pavel Solovyov, Managing Director responsible for repository activities, NSD, spoke at two sessions of the conference about NSD’s repository services, types of transactions supported by NSD, various communications channels and messages formats. Mr. Solovyov paid special attention to the opportunities and prospects of development of NSD as a repository, Russia’s regulator and financial market in general and in respect of interactions with repositories of the EU, USA and other countries, and to enhancing Russian law regulating this sector.

Other speakers of the conference included representatives of Moscow Exchange, Sberbank CIB and other financial market participants.
