OREANDA-NEWS. Gazpromneft-Aero has entered into a long-term agreement with Lufthansa to provide refuelling for the company's cargo aircraft at Yemelyanovo International Airport (Krasnoyarsk). This has allowed Gazpromneft-Aero to increase monthly refuelling for the Lufthansa group in Russia by 80% from February 2014.

In 2013, more than 7,600 tonnes of fuel were supplied to the Lufthansa group. Gazpromneft-Aero currently provides fuel at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport for the scheduled flights of Swiss International Air Lines, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Air Dolomiti, all operated by Lufthansa. The long-term agreement for refuelling at Domodedovo was concluded in September 2013.

“I am sure that working with Lufthansa, one of the leaders of the international aviation industry, will promote the improvement of national standards in the field of aviation fuel services and strengthen Gazpromneft-Aero's position on the global market”, commented Vladimir Yegorov, CEO of Gazpromneft-Aero. “We appreciate the opportunity to partner with one of the major international airlines, and we are ready to expand our cooperation at Russian airports.”

“Gazpromneft-Aero proposed a long-term agreement for aviation fuel supply based on a price-setting formula, which allowed us to optimize our costs in Russia. We are delighted with how our collaboration is developing”, commented Thorsten Luft, Vice President of Lufthansa.
