'Expert RA' rating agency downgraded Ukraine sovereign rating to ССС, which means low credit solvency, in the national currency, and to ССС-, which means low credit solvency, in foreign currency. The credit environment rating of the State was downgraded to ССС-, which means low credit environment quality, in the national currency, and to СС, which means very low credit environment quality, in foreign currency. The country used to have sovereign rating ВВ-, which means sufficient credit solvency, in the national currency, and В+, which means satisfactory credit solvency, in foreign currency; and the credit environment rating В, which means satisfactory credit environment quality, in the national currency, and B-, which means satisfactory credit environment quality, in foreign currency.

Ukraine government creditworthiness (sovereign) and credit environment ratings have been downgraded due to the extremely high internal political instability that makes it more difficult to raise external financing for servicing the country's current liabilities.
