OREANDA-NEWS. Tata Power, one of India's largest integrated power companies, is committed to improving the quality of education for the community in and around its area of operations. In continuation with this commitment, the company has distributed desks, benches and daris (blankets) in various schools at Tiruldih. Adhish Ram, REO. Chandil, graced the event along with many teachers, the school management committee and local villagers.

More than 100 desks, benches and 25 daris were distributed in more than seven schools with the objective of developing the infrastructure of schools and also improving the quality of education in these areas.

On this occasion, D Santra, head, Tiruldih project, said, “We at Tata Power are committed towards improving educational establishments and providing the necessary infrastructural support to the schools that are in and around our project area. Our team has distributed desks and benches which are an essential item of school infrastructure. We are thankful to the school managements for cooperating and supporting our initiatives, and we will continue to support the schools in all possible ways in the future too. We are also thankful to Mr Adhish Ram, REO, Chandil, and the CR department of Tiruldih project for supporting this noble initiative.”

The schools that have benefited under this initiative include Tiruldih Middle School, Sirkadih Primary School, Kuda Middle School, Nutandih Primary School, Choura Middle School (Urdu), Choura Middle School (Kanya) and Majhitola Primary School, among others.
