OREANDA-NEWS. A delegation from Sberbank CIB took part in the 25th annual international real estate show MIPIM, held from March 11-14 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. Sberbank CIB was represented by Natalya Chibrikova, Managing Director, Head of Real Estate Unit of the Client Management Department; Dmitry Kanushkin, Managing Director, Head of Real Estate Finance Division of the Loans Department, and James Corrigan, Managing Director, Sberbank Merchant Banking.

During the exhibition, delegates participated in a roundtable - RBC Real Estate Russia 2014: a strategy to attract investment; as well as discussions on Moscow and its real estate market organized by the Moscow Government and the newspaper The Moscow Times: the investment conference - Moscow in the Global Real Estate Market; and the seminar - Moscow Calling: drivers in Moscow's real estate market; etc.

During the MIPIM exhibition, the conclusion of several deals with the participation of Sberbank CIB was announced at the Sberbank of Russia stand "We Build the Future." Sberbank CIB signed a strategic partnership agreement with Rose Group, including up to RUB 20 bln for the construction of stages 3-7 of its flagship project "Microcity "V lesu." At the same time, Sberbank CIB acted as the financial partner to one of the largest warehouse real estate developers Multinational Logistics Partnership (MLP) by refinancing the company's debt using three MLP warehouse complexes as collateral and signed a strategic partnership agreement with the company.

In 2014, MIPIM exhibition attracted a total of 20,500 participants. Russia, along with Turkey and Brazil were countries of honor at the exhibition. This year, MIPIM was attended by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson; Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development and Construction Marat Khusnullin; Deputy Minister for Regional Development Svetlana Ivanova; Director for Management of the Coordination of Complex Urban Policy and Construction for the City of Moscow Yevgeny Leonov; and others. The Ministry for Regional Development of the Russian Federation showcased 21 regions and was the organizer of the conference, the central theme of which was the investment attractiveness of Russian regions.

The concept for Sberbank's stand "We build the Future," boasted decorative elements and once again attracted the interest of the exhibition's visitors. A distinctive feature of the stand was the video wall broadcasting real estate properties, financed by Sberbank. Sberbank held a special event for client's at its stand, which included a barman show and tasteful gifts for guests. The lounge area outfitted with a fresh specialty bar and interactive photo zone was also very popular, guests were able to take a photo and send it by e-mail, as well as instantly receive a printed copy with a branded frame as a souvenir.
