OREANDA-NEWS. March 21, 2014. Sberbank CIB is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter McNulty to the Global Markets Department. Peter joined the company as GM International Projects Managing Director. He will be based in Moscow and work under the direction of Jonathan Lester, Head of Business Management and Development, Managing Director, Global Markets Department.

Peter brings over 25 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry and joins Sberbank CIB from RAE Capital, where he held the position of Interim Group CFO. After beginning his career at Deloitte, he moved to Credit Suisse First Boston, where his roles included Finance Director for Australia and New Zealand, and Finance’s Global Head of Derivatives and Emerging Markets based in London. In 2002 Peter was appointed Asia Pacific CFO for Barclays Capital, a position he held for six years, before becoming COO/CFO of Renaissance Group, based in Moscow. He graduated from the University of New South Wales with an MBA, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

This appointment is the latest in a number of recent senior hires as Sberbank CIB continues to expand its Global Markets team. The team has recently added a number of managing directors including Sergio Soler as Senior Precious Metals Trader, Franck-Eric Fischer as Senior Oil Trader, Frederic Blondel as Head of FX and Flow Derivatives Corporate Sales, Sascha Prinz as Head of Rates and Francois Mantion as Head of Commodity Trading.
