OREANDA-NEWS. VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation invests over RUR 45 million to development of its health care system, namely purchasing new medical equipment and works required for alteration of premises.

In March a new advanced photofluorographic complex “Electron” was put in operation in Tirus corporate medical unit. Its installation required preliminary reconstruction and re-equipping of the premises. The total project cost is more than RUR 8 million.

An old unit was replaced by this digital low-dose photofluorograph of domestic manufacture that will improve significantly diagnostics efficiency and allow increasing a number of tests per shift up to 140 according to Head Physician Ilia Osherov.

"The new unit is characterized by minimum roentgen radiation dose and high resolution. Digital technologies allow working with images my magnifying them and increase the contrast. X-ray picture quality is multiply improved", the Corporation Head Physician indicates.

VSMPO-AVISMA corporative health care system providing qualified medical services for the Corporation present and former employees includes two out-patient clinics per 600 and 360 visits/a shift, diagnostic center per 400 visits/a shift, two day patient hospitals, rehabilitation and restoratory medicine centre, and sanatorium per 110 seats, shop health units and health activity centres.
