OREANDA-NEWS.   At 09:50 a.m. on 24 March, the dispatcher of the Crimean Energy System (part of national energy company Ukrenergo) instructed DTEK Krymenergo to stop emergency power shutdowns and resume normal operation. Power is now being supplied to all consumers.

As previously stated, at 7:40 p.m. on 23 March, due to technical issues (an emergency outage and an emergency failure) at two Ukrenergo's lines - the 330 kV Kakhovka-Ostrovska and Melitopol-Dzhankoi lines, the dispatcher of the Crimean Energy System had instructed DTEK Krymenergo to temporarily use full-scale emergency power shutdowns to minimize the load.

At 1:00 a.m. on 24 March, because of a natural load reduction during night hours DTEK Krymenergo was able to supply power all the consumers that had been cut off earlier according to the instructions of Ukrenergo.

At 5:40 a.m. on 24 March, as the peninsular electric load started to increase, the dispatcher of the Crimean Energy System reinstated the instructions for DTEK Krymenergo to limit the load on the Crimean peninsula to 300 MW through continental cross flows and use emergency power shutdowns.
