OREANDA-NEWS. March 26, 2014. The Head of the Legal Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), Sergey Puzurevsky, took part in the Annual ICA Conference – “Compliance in Russia: the International Context” in Moscow.

Attendees included an advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Sergey Glaziev; representatives of financial organizations, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, “Skolkovo” Moscow Management School, legal firms, etc.

Sergey Puzurevsky discussed the “Strategy for Developing Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation in the Russian Federation in 2013 – 2024” (the Strategy).

“Our Strategy determines the major priorities for the Antimonopoly Service. First, it is necessary to create a favourable environment for effective protection and development of competition. Second, reduce administrative barriers and free market performance. Third, form a non-discriminatory access of consumers to the services of natural monopolies, establishing efficient tariff-making mechanisms”, commented the Head of FAS Legal Department, Sergey Puzurevsky.

The representative of the Antimonopoly Service informed the Conference about the work completed in 2013 to fulfill the Strategy.

In conclusion, Sergey Puzurevsky emphasized the importance of compliance for the purposes of warning about violations of the antimonopoly law. He also asked the conference participants to formulate proposals on improving the mechanisms of changing the law of the Russian Federation.
