OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2014. United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X) announced that Michael S. Williams, senior vice president – strategic planning and business development, has been named to the Board of Directors at the National Association of Manufacturing (NAM), the largest manufacturing association in the United States.

"Mike's appointment speaks to the critical role that steelmaking plays in the American manufacturing industry," said Mario Longhi, president and chief executive officer of United States Steel.  "He joins fellow manufacturing leaders in providing national and global perspectives on the impact of federal government action upon U. S. Steel and member companies, while contributing to the NAM's policy development process."
