OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2014. The state and prospects of cooperation in the field of regional development, construction, housing and communal services between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Regional Development Ministry of Ukraine were discussed at a meeting of Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services Volodymyr Hroisman and EBRD Managing Director for Turkey, Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia Olivier Descamps.

The parties agreed that the current procedure of project approval is too bureaucratic and that does not allow timely and effectively implement necessary projects for the development of some or other area.

Volodymyr Hroisman and Olivier Descamps agreed that the Regional Development Ministry and the EBRD will consider all issues which prevent the preparation and implementation of projects in Ukraine and work out solutions to resolve them soon.

Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services Volodymyr Hroisman assured that he was ready to participate in the work to develop clear procedures that enable to make the process open, clear and effective.

The parties also agreed to review the projects which are currently at different stages of their implementation and take joint decisions on actions which allow running in place of these projects.
