OREANDA-NEWS.  March 27, 2014. The Economy Ministry establishes a working group to control restructuring of the heating-and-energy facilities of Chisinau. The members of the group are to gather for sittings every week, the Ministry informs.

At the first sitting, chaired by Valeriu Lazar, the members of the group decided that in 3 days the plan of action for the restructuring should be updated taking into account the insolvency of Termocom. The group is also to monitor the heat and hot water consumption in Chisinau until the reorganizing procedure is over. Besides, the working group will be monitoring the preparations of the heat-and -energy facilities of Chisinau to the 2014-2015 heating season.

Even if the restructuring will be facing some legal complicacies, it can not be tangible for consumers of Chisinau who must be delivered quality services, Valeriu Lazar said. He directed enterprises subordinated to the Economy Ministry and participating in the Board of Lenders to Termocom to ensure integrity and transparency of Termocom’s management. All the assets of Termocom must be transferred to Termoelectrica, Valeriu Lazar stressed.

The government is committed to have the merging completed by the new heating season to ensure efficiency of the new enterprise, the Minister noted. According to Veaceslav Eni, who administrates the liquidation procedure for Termocom, on March 24 the delivery-and-acceptance certificate for Termocom’s assets is to be signed. Conducting the stocktaking and audit and adjusting consumer tariffs will be the next step, he said.
