OREANDA-NEWS. On 06.04.2014 JSC “E4 Group” and JSC “IES-Holding” concluded EPC-Contract for the reconstruction of Izhevskaya TPP, including the construction of a state-of-the-art combined cycle power unit of 230 MW and 498 Gkal/h.

In accordance with the signed contract, EPC-Contractor (E4 Group) shall perform a full cycle of works, including the elaboration of necessary design documentation, construction and erection works, delivery of all the auxiliary equipment, commissioning works, as well as will participate in putting the facility into operation and in holding the certification of power generating equipment.

On 27.04.2012 the construction of a new power plant was solemnly commenced by placing a first foundation stone. For 22 months after the date of putting a first stone, E4 Group has fulfilled a full scope of design engineering, construction and erection works, as well as commissioning is coming to an end.

The preparations for a comprehensive run are currently ongoing: on March 15th, one of the major components of CCPP - Gas Turbine - was first started up at a new power unit of Izhevskaya TPP. The equipment was tested with cutting the generator into the grid and generating electric power. Eventually, gas turbine unit generated 57897 kW/h for 3 hours of operation. It is planned to conduct a “hot startup” of CCPP in the next days.

Commissioning of Izhevskaya TPP-1 is one of the top-priority investment projects by IES-Holding. It will allow to significantly increase the capacity of the plant and to recover deficit in thermal and electric power in Izhevsk, thus ensuring reliable and failure-free power supply to industrial enterprises and household consumers. By doing so, the use of combined cycle technology will positively affect economic factors of Izhevskaya TPP-1 due to the reduction of specific fuel consumption and increase of efficiency factor of the power generating equipment.
