OREANDA-NEWS. Dr. Albrecht Bochow was elected to the Board of German-Russian Chamber of Commerce (AHK). At the same time he was appointed honorary authorized Representative of AHK in Northwestern Federal District. Since 2011 Dr. Albrecht Bochow works as Member of the Board for Kirovsky Zavod in Saint Petersburg and manages the Directorate for International Business. In 2013 he was also elected to the Board of the Russian Economic Council in Germany (VRWD).

At the General Meeting in Moscow on 26th March the new Board of the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce was elected, in the presence of the new German Ambassador in Russia Ruediger Freiherr von Fritsch-Seerhausen and Gernot Erler, Coordinator for Russia policy of German Government. Other Board members elected include CEO's and Board members of well-known German Companies in Russia, such as Torsten Erdmann, Head of Representative Office of Commerzbank in Russia, Dr. Ralf Bendisch, CEO of Claas in Russia, Regina von Flemming, CEO Axel Springer Publishing House in Russia, Dr. Alexey Grigoriev, Vice President of METRO AG, Gerhard Pfeifer, Head of Representative Office of Bosch-Group in Russia, Thorsten Schubert, CFO of Knauf Gruppe GUS, Jaron Wiedmaier, General Director Continental Tires RUS, and others.

The German-Russian Chamber of Commerce was founded on the 5th of December 2007 and originates from the Association of German Economy in the Russian Federation, originally founded 1995 in Saint Petersburg. With its more than 800 German and Russian Members AHK is the largest representative association in German-Russian Economic Relations and part of the global AHK-Network. The AHK has branch offices in Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Kaliningrad.

After the election Albrecht Bochow commented: “Kirovsky Zavod closely cooperates at several locations in Germany and Russia with German Companies. In the recent years we have proved to be a reliable business partner in Russia, as well as a long-term investor in Germany. Thereby we deeply integrated into mutual German-Russian economic relations. Being a representative of a Russian Company in the Board of the AHK, I will also contribute from this point of view to the work of the Board and will build bridges, like I do as a German Board Member in a Russian Company.”
