OREANDA-NEWS. April 02, 2014. Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbolat Dossayev discussed with Vice President of the Asian Development Bank Zhang Wencai preparations for the 47th Annual Meeting of the Governing Council of the Asian Development Bank.

The parties also discussed the implementation of joint projects and prospects of bilateral cooperation.

47th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on the theme "New Silk Road - connecting Asia with a changing world" will be held from 2 to 5 May in Astana.

ADB was founded in 1966 to promote economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region by providing loans and technical assistance. ADB cooperate with Kazakhstan for over 20 years. Since joining ADB in 1994, Kazakhstan was granted more than USD 3.2 billion in loans in sectors such as agriculture, education, finance, transportation, water and other sectors.
