OREANDA-NEWS. State Corporation 'Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)' and the Consortium of International Banks signed a credit agreement on extending a syndicated loan in order to fund the supplies of the sixth Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft to Interjet Mexican Airline.

Natixis (the French Republic) acted as an agent bank for the loan. The Export Insurance Agency of Russia (EXIAR, VEB Group) has for the first time participated in the structure of this transaction together with foreign insurance agencies SACE (the Italian Republic) and Coface (the French Republic).

Vnesheconombank Deputy Chairman - Member of the Board Alexandr Ivanov said, "Vnesheconombank carries on providing comprehensive support for aircraft exports. As part of a major international transaction our Bank's lending has been reliably secured in the form of OJSC EXIAR's insurance coverage. This testifies to a successful operation of a single window system created within VEB Group to fund Russian exports.

In December of 2013, VEB and the Consortium of International Banks (Natixis, Intesa Sanpaolo and Deutsche Bank) extended syndicated loans to fund the supplies of five Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft to a Mexican airline. Intertjet Company is already operating five Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft supplied earlier, manufactured by CJSC the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company.

Supplies of aircraft to Interjet Airline are made under the agreement of standing order for 20 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft and a capability to purchase another 10 aircraft concluded by Interjet with SuperJet International - a joint venture of Alenia Aermacchi and the Sukhoi Holding. The loan's total sum might amount to 500 million US dollars. Vnesheconombank together with a number of leading foreign banks are in talks on funding the remaining part of the order. Supplies of remaining 14 aircraft are scheduled to be funded in 2014-2015.

Funding the supplies of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft is made under the trilateral agreement concluded in June of 2011 between Vnesheconombank, Coface and SACE. The agreement is designed to form an integrated system of funding international sales of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft with the use of a credit-leasing scheme for funding the export supplies of aircraft to foreign buyers.
