OREANDA-NEWS. April 03, 2014. Our current principal task is not only to simplify business environment but to inspire business to achieve ambitious goals. Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Pavlo Sheremeta stressed during a meeting with Undersecretary of State at the Polish Ministry of Economy Mariusz Haladyj.

Pavlo Sheremeta emphasized the Government of Ukraine directed the efforts to creating proper conditions for the development of entrepreneurship within the country. And if Ukraine ascends up the steps of the Doing Business ranking, it will become a sort of sign that we have chosen the right way.

“The very ranking is not a goal. It is crucial whether the business is ready to work. Positions of the ranking might be high, but the entrepreneurs would not have motivation to work with vigor. Hence, we are engaged into continuous work on deregulation: 14 draft laws have been already submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, now another 6 are being elaborated. We must calm down the business structures, remove all “painful points” and continue to inspire them to greater ambitions,” the Minister said.

It should be noted that Polish experts led by Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Poland Mariusz Haladyj held round-table consultations and discussed with Ukrainian colleagues deregulation and creation of favourable environment for business. Mariusz Haladyj emphasized such meetings were advantageous for the two sides, so this cooperation was agreed to prolong.

“We take these meetings not only as certain assistance but rather as an invitation to exchange experiences. We have been communicating long at these consultations and heard a lot of interesting for us as well. Besides, we got convinced again our goals and directions are similar, as also our actions. So I consider such meetings that provide opportunities to exchange experiences and good practical skills must be held in the future,” the Undersecretary of State views.
