OREANDA-NEWS. Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of a hypermarket in Tyumen, its fourth store in the Ural Federal District.

The store, which Is located in the Leninsky district of Tyumen in Respublika st., 291 has selling space of 7,000 sq.m., a total area of 12,000 sq.m., and customers will be served by 280 Tyumen residents who have been employed at the new hypermarket. The store will offer high levels of convenience thanks to its high capacity 560-car customer car park as well as a fast and seamless checkout operation with 40 cash registers.

The store will also provide plenty of choice thanks to its broad and targeted product assortment of 22,000 SKUs, which includes own-brand and fresh articles and local produce alongside a standardised federal assortment. The product assortment has been selected specifically for residents within the store's catchment area thanks to Lenta's unique ability to tailor its assortment to local tastes. Prior to departing the store, customers will also be able to enjoy an in-store cafe under Lenta's own brand “Home style at Lenta”. The hypermarket is open 24 hours a day.

Two Lenta stores now serve Tyumen, which has a population of 582,000 inhabitants, and it brings the number of Lenta stores in the Urals Federal District to three with its store in Nizhny Tagil.

The opening of Lenta's second store in Tyumen brings the total number of stores to 79 hypermarkets and 10 supermarkets in 45 Russian cities.
