OREANDA-NEWS.  Power Machines OJSC has manufactured and tested a 160 MW air-cooled turbogenerator designed for a new combined cycle plant (CCPP) Verkhnetagilskaya SDPP. The obtained results have proved the adherence of main electric parameters to their design values as well as full compliance of the generator with the requirements of standard technical documents.

Power Machines OJSC and Inter RAO – Power Generation OJSC signed a contract to manufacture and supply power equipment for a 420 MW CCPP unit being built at Verkhnetagilskaya SDPP in 2013. The contract was signed following a competitive tender, which Power Machines OJSC won by submitting the best technical and economic solution.

According to the contract terms Power Machines are to manufacture and supply a 140 MW and a 306 MW steam turbine, both complete with generators, to the Customer. The steam-related part of the CCPP unit equipment will be produced by Power Machines, while the gas-related part will be manufactured by Siemens Gas Turbines Technologies LLC – a joint venture established by Power Machines OJSC and Siemens AG to produce and service gas turbines.

The equipment for the CCPP unit of Verkhnetagilskaya SDPP will be delivered in 2014.

Power Machines OJSC takes an active part in the renovation of Verkhnetagilskaya SDPP by retrofitting a 200 MW gas turbine at the plant’s power unit No. 10. The gas turbine equipment was delivered last year.  Power Machines specialists are now providing technical support during installation works.
