OREANDA-NEWS. NPO Saturn was visited by the head of the State labor inspection for the Yaroslavl region Evgeniy Maslennikov. The result of visiting the NPO Saturn production facilities and the meeting with the leaders of the company and the trade union on the items of observing the labor regulations was the award of an Employer confidence certificate.

The original Employer confidence certificate was awarded to NPO Saturn back in 2010 as an employer who diligently observes the labor code provisions. In December 2013 the company's management conjointly with the NPO Saturn trade union applied for the prolongation of the existing Employer confidence certificate for the following 5 years.

Over the period of 2010-2014 NPO Saturn underwent significant organizational and staff changes; an important number of new internal regulations was devised and adopted by the company. The expenses associated with labor protection and industrial and ecological safety increased substantially. NPO Saturn introduced an ecological management system to comply with the requirements of the international ISO 14001:2004 standard, and now the company works consistently towards a certification in 2014 of its own labor protection management system pursuant to the requirements of the international OHSAS 18001:2007 standard with a follow-on creation of an integrated labor and health protection management system, and the ecological management.

The State labor inspection checks administered over the said time period confirmed the validity of the Certificate and proved that it was in the company's best economic interest to comply with the existing requirements in the field of industrial, fire and ecological safety, and to maintain a high level of labor protection.

The company's slogan reads the following: responsibility to the society and the future generations for maintaining a benign economic environment, life and health of its employees, ensuring their safety through creating an ecologically responsible corporate environment and introducing “the green economy” principles.

“NPO “Saturn” as an employer fully guarantees and observes the rights of its employees. Its Employer confidence certificate has been confirmed twice already, - explained Evgeniy Maslennikov, head of the State labor inspection for the Yaroslavl region. - The company's new production facilities, state-of-the-art machine tools, modern administrative and office buildings leave a positive impression. I, as a Russian citizen and a dweller of the Yaroslavl region, am proud that we have such an advanced enterprise located in this territory. As of today, there are 55 companies in the Yaroslavl region on our list who have pledged to respect the labor rights of their employees. When an employer claims that it would respect the citizens' labor rights out of its good will - it gives us, as a labor supervisory-enforcement body, some formidable support. It is an honor to deliver this certificate, proving confidence to the employer, to such a deserved company. I wish this certificate to be prolonged for the next five years and be awarded to Saturn in the same festive atmosphere as today.”
