OREANDA-NEWS. Мetinvest Group's Khartsyzsk Pipe Plant invested UAH 775,000 to remodel on-site washrooms as part of its Worker's Amenities program. Modern and comfortable conditions were created for 120 employees of the enterprise's energy shop and central laboratory.

Capital repairs of the sanitary and amenity rooms included a complete replacement of the water supply and canalization systems and the installation of new boilers, plastic steel windows and doors. The interiors were remodelled with a modern design with tiled walls and floors and a plastic suspended ceiling. Lockers for employees' clothes were installed. The rooms were equipped with air conditioners.

“The washrooms have more light and have become more comfortable,” said Yekaterina Maschenko, a roll-turning lathe female operator in the plant's central laboratory. “The modern design, neat shower cabins and certainly the mirrors and hair dryers was all done so we can freshen up after our shifts. Women first!”

“Khartsyzsk Pipe continues to set high standards for improving workers' amenities,” said Pavel Uzbek, general director of Khartsyzsk Pipe. “Amenities play an important role in worker productivity, therefore the key task for management is to organize employees' amenities in such a way that they feel comfortable and work to the best of their ability.”

In 2013, Khartsyzsk Pipe was a leader among Metinvest Group's enterprises in organizing workers' amenities and operations.
