OREANDA-NEWS. April 09, 2014. BOC and Airbus Group entered into a global cooperation agreement in Toulouse, France, under which both sides will jointly promote cooperation in operations and strategies.

Pursuant to the agreement, the two will have collaboration in domestic and international settlement, global cash management and capital operation, credit business including trade financing and loans, aircraft leasing, aircraft asset management, hedging, etc. This agreement will allow BOC to expand its global business in the sectors of aerospace, aviation, and aircraft leasing, and provide broader financing solutions to the clients of Airbus Group, which in turn will bring opportunities to expand business in China and around the world.

BOC Chairman Tian Guoli expressed that, having provided financial services to the aviation industry for more than 30 years, BOC is by far the world's largest aircraft financing bank, and the Bank will continuously seek cooperation with multinational corporations as always. Airbus Group CFO Harald Wilhelm pointed out that its Chinese and international clients would both benefit from this cooperation agreement.

Airbus Group is the world's second largest enterprise engaging in aerospace, security defense and related services, and owns Airbus, Airbus Defense and Space, and Airbus Helicopters. Founded in November 1993, BOC Aviation Pte. Ltd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of BOC and originally known as Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise), has so far acquired 251 Airbus aircrafts by means of direct purchase or sale-leaseback.
