OREANDA-NEWS. UNIQLO today announces the April 25 opening of its latest store in Paris, in the Marais area. UNIQLO Le Marais Store will become the Japanese retailer's fifth store in Paris.

Located in a mid-19th century former foundry, and with a total sales floor of approximately 820 square meters over three levels, the new store will showcase this beautifully preserved historic site, amidst UNIQLO's selected line of men's and women's collections - with a particular nod to its Spring and Summer 2014 collaboration with Parisian chic fashion icon Ines de la Fressange. Designed by Tokyo-based interior design firm Wonderwall, the new store will also feature high-tech installations, including wall monitors and LED tickers.

Commenting on today's announcement, Berndt Hauptkorn, Fast Retailing Group Officer and UNIQLO Europe CEO, said, "Our newest store in Le Marais epitomizes effortless Parisian style. Combining a modern layout with historical features such as its 35-meter red brick chimney, is a perfect frame for creating a truly unique shopping experience. We look forward to opening our doors soon and to welcoming both locals and visitors alike, as we continue to offer new and exciting lifestyles to people of all ages."

UNIQLO today also reveals the cast of its 'Marais People Campaign' to celebrate its arrival in this highly fashionable district of Paris. Brodinski, Geraldine Nakache, Mouloud Achour and Ines Melia make up the diverse cast of four local 'UNIQLO ambassadors' with photography by Thomas Lohr and styling by Jonathan Kaye.

Spanning across different artistic disciplines, each member of the People Campaign has a special connection and relevance to Le Marais. Together they will showcase how UNIQLO LifeWear fits seamlessly into the life of Parisians, regardless of personal background or style.
