OREANDA-NEWS. April 10, 2014. Saudi Aramco Products Trading Company (ATC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, announced that it  has begun the first lifting of chemical products from Petro Rabigh.

ATC’s products lifting from Petro Rabigh will include Polypropylene, High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) and Monoethylene Glycol (MEG).

Said A. Al-Hadrami, CEO of ATC said: “The products from Petro Rabigh will complement our current product portfolio and will leverage the current ATC infrastructure and our customers' network to add value to Petro Rabigh. With these new products, we can generate more opportunities to further build on our success.”

The ATC announcement comes after Petro Rabigh announced that Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical, the majority shareholders of Petro Rabigh, signed an agreement on December 15, 2013, enabling both shareholders to market Petro Rabigh chemical products on an equal basis.

The sales of chemical products will be coordinated and will gradually be increased during the following months to ensure a smooth transition of sales and marketing by ATC of Petro Rabigh’s chemical products.
