OREANDA-NEWS. Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of a new hypermarket in Ryazan, its second in the city.

The new compact hypermarket is located in the 12th district street of Ryazan and is situated within a former food market building which Lenta is renting. The store has a selling space of 3,925 sq.m and a total area of 7,370 sq.m. The store will offer its customers a broad product assortment of 15,000 SKUs including the company's own-brand articles, local produce, and its standard federal assortment. Customers will have access to 400 car parking spaces and 24 cash registers will ensure that customers' shopping experience is smooth, convenient and efficient. The store will be open 24 hours, seven days a week.

The first Lenta hypermarket in Ryazan has been in operation since 2008. Lenta has since studied customer preferences in Ryazan based on data collected from the company's loyalty card and has subsequently tailored the new hypermarket's assortment according to local tastes.

The opening of the second hypermarket in Ryazan will underline the company's commitment to investing in the development of the retail sector in the highly-populated city.

The opening of Lenta's second hypermarket in Ryazan brings the total number of stores to 80 hypermarkets and 10 supermarkets in 45 Russian cities.
