Baroda Pioneer Asset Management Company (Baroda Pioneer AMC) has posted a 11% rise in its assets under management (AUM) for the fiscal year ended Mar. 31, 2014 helped by traction seen in equity space in terms of new investor addition and greater reach by tapping into the vast network of SMEs.

Baroda Pioneer Asset Management Company is a joint venture between Bank of Baroda and Pioneer Investments.

The AMC's total AUM rose by Rs 8.02 billion to Rs 81.05 billion during FY 2013-14 from Rs 73.03 billion in the preceding fiscal.

Commenting on the growth, Jaideep Bhattacharya, managing director, Baroda Pioneer AMC said, "We have done reasonably well in 2013-14 and we are hopeful of sustaining the momentum in the current fiscal. We expect buoyancy in equity and debt market to help in growing the corpus further."

Shares of the company gained Rs 9.5, or 1.29%, to trade at Rs 743.85. The total volume of shares traded was 173,055 at the BSE (2.03 p.m., Wednesday).
