OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2014. Rosneft subsidiary RN-Aero won the tender for fueling Turkish Airlines aircrafts at Vnukovo airport in Moscow until May 2015. Earlier, at the beginning of the year the Company also won the tender for fueling at the airport in Stavropol.

Cooperation between RN-Aero and Turkish Airlines began in 2012, when the Agreement for fueling aircrafts at Vnukovo airport was awarded, as well as Appendixes for fueling charter flights at the airports in Mineralnye Vody, Vladivostok, Irkutsk, and Krasnoyarsk. RN-Aero is strengthening cooperation with Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, members of Star Alliance (leading world aircraft alliance).

Opting for RN-Aero foreign airlines consider such criteria as high level of provided services, promptitude of fueling, and package proposals for the network of airports. Transparent pricing based on international indicator Platts is also considered as one of the main competitive advantages. Thanks to broad geography of its own oil refineries, Rosneft covers almost all regions of the Russian Federation, and direct supplies are carried out to a variety of foreign and to the majority of Russian air carriers.

RN-Aero plans to continue expanding its geography with its key customer on mutually beneficial terms.

Rosneft activity in the area of fueling aircrafts is carried out by its subsidiary RN-Aero. In 2013 Rosneft became one of the leaders in jet fuel sales volume on the Russian market, providing more than 3.2 million tons of fuel. At that, filling quantity of the aircrafts increased by 20% in comparison with 2012, from 1.8 million tons to almost 2.2 million tons correspondingly.

Rosneft carries out operational control over fueling complexes at Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Sochi, Krasnodar, Gelendzhik, Anapa, Rostov-on-Don, Abakan, Ekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Vladivostok. There also have been created storage cards for partner airports of the Company. As of the current date Rosneft fuels aircrafts ‘in the wing’ at 27 airports at the territory of the Russian Federation.
