OREANDA-NEWS. A representative of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) took part in the Belarusian-Georgian business meeting arranged by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia.

The meeting brought together the representatives of 11 major Georgian companies as well as over 80 Belarusian firms and organizations. During the talks, the sides discussed the most promising areas of cooperation. In particular, it was suggested that Georgia's CCI should encourage Georgian companies to register at BUCE and thus gain access to the market of the Republic of Belarus and other members of the Customs Union. In addition, Georgian businessmen received information about exchange logistics services rendered by BUCE and got familiar with BUCE's electronic trading platform for consumer and industrial goods.

BUCE's participation in the Belarusian-Georgian business meeting and match-making session became a logical continuation of the recent visit to Tbilisi paid by Vladimir Torchik, BUCE's Head of Information and Analysis. Back then the sides mapped out a whole set of measures designed to develop cooperation in market information sharing and wider involvement of Georgian economic agents in exchange trade organized by BUCE. Additionally, the visit to Georgia helped establish a lot of useful business contacts, familiarize potential clients with BUCE's operation and policies and discuss possible areas of mutual interest for the near-term perspective.
