OREANDA-NEWS. Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced today that it will expand its operations in Poland this summer by adding a 5th aircraft to its Gdansk base. The new aircraft will support the new service from Gdansk to Malta that will commence on 20 June with 2 weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays as well as frequency increases on the existing routes from Gdansk to London Luton, Stockholm Skavsta, Oslo Torp, Bergen, Alesund and Cologne, starting from 19 June 2014.

With this expansion Wizz Air will grow its Polish fleet to 16 Airbus A320 aircraft in the summer peak of 2014: 5 based aircraft in Gdansk and Katowice, 4 in Warsaw Chopin Airport and 1 aircraft in Poznan and Wroclaw.
