OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2014. Mikhail Sutyaginsky attended the Second Annual International Practical Conference “Petrochemistry of Russia and CIS”.

The head of Group of Companies “Titan” made a report within the framework of the session “Condition of Propylene Market and of its Derivatives".

The event gathered up leaders of the industry from Russia, CIS, and also representatives of international business community on one platform. Among the participants and speakers of the conference were top-managers of the leading companies, such as ONK, “SIBUR-Holding”, “Gazprom Neft’”, “Lukoil”, Bayer, Yokogawa, Russian Savings Bank.

In the course of his report Mikhail Sutyaginsky spoke on promising projects of GC “Titan”. In particular, the program for the Group of Companies’ development foresees creation of modern production facilities for lowest olefins in order to provide balanced supply with feedstock; the development program also foresees construction of modern production facilities on the basis of ethylene-propylene. In order to realize the projects, one invited the leading specialized Russian and foreign companies.

“In conditions of changing market sentiment and in conditions of growing demand in propylene derivatives we are considering possibility of extraction of propylene oxide and of a number of derivatives on its basis: glycols, polyurethanes, propylene carbonate, polyether resins”, – said CJSC “GC “Titan” Chairman of the Board of Directors.

In the near prospect the Group of Companies is planning to create an industrial park for polymers in direct vicinity from feedstock sources and from Omsk Polypropylene Plant. Mikhail Sutyaginsky said that besides modern production facilities of the petrochemical cluster, GC “Titan” is working on development of technologies for extraction and processing of highly pure silicon, and also for extraction and processing of byproducts on the basis of fine-dispersed silica which can be widely applied as quality filler in production of rubbers, polymer composites and thickeners of liquids.

The participants of the session dedicated the discussion part to talking about marginal areas of propylene utilization in modern conditions. The event served as an efficient site for business communications and for exchange in experience with partners and experts of petrochemical industry.
