OREANDA-NEWS. April 29, 2014. AREVA’s Melox facility has received the “Award for TPM Excellence – Category A“ by the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance. The official award ceremony was held in Kyoto, Japan.

This internationally renowned prize is awarded to companies in recognition of their commitment to an industrial performance approach known as Total Productive Management (TPM). The “TPM Excellence – Category A“ label is the first of five levels of recognition granted by the JIPM. Of the sixty laureate companies in 2013, from a range of different industrial sectors from all levels, AREVA’s Melox Facility is one of two winners from France.

This distinction is the result of a team effort and is recognition for the productivity and quality performances achieved by the plant since 2009. The objective of AREVA’s Melox facility continuous improvement plan is to provide excellence to both its French and international customers, while meeting the highest standards in safety and security.

Jean-Marc Ligney, Director of the Melox facility, said: “We are particularly proud of this result which underlines the work we have accomplished over the past four years to ingrain industrial performance in our DNA.”
