OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2014. At the 13th Annual International Competition Network (ICN) in Marrakech, the delegation of the Federal Antimonopoly Service led by Stats-Secretary, Deputy Head of FAS, Andrey Tsarikovskiy, had a meeting with Ms. Noa Zvi-Oliver, Senior Assistant to the General Director of Israel Antitrust Authority.

A bilateral meeting of Russian and Israeli competition authorities took place for the first time. The Federal Antimonopoly Service hopes that it will lay the foundation for developing productive cooperation between the antimonopoly bodies of Russia and Israel.

In the course of the negotiations, FAS and Israel competition authorities informed each other about the main areas of work in the field of competition policy and enforcement, as well as the most interesting cases, investigated by the competition authorities recently, especially against cartels.

Concluding the negotiations, FAS handed over to representatives of Israel Antitrust Authority a draft Memorandum of Understanding between the antimonopoly authorities and expressed gratitude for the meeting, hoping for developing Russian – Israeli cooperation in the field of the antimonopoly policy.
