OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank CIB has been commended for its leading role in one of the most significant transactions of the past year by The Banker. The magazine's annual Deals of the Year Awards, which recognise the best global capital markets deals from the last 12 months, named the initial public offering (IPO) of Tinkoff Credit Systems as runner-up in the best equities deal (IPO) category for Europe.

Sberbank CIB acted as Joint Global Coordinator and Joint Bookrunner for the \\$1,087 mln listing on the London Stock Exchange in October 2013. The offering was a landmark transaction both for Europe and the Russian capital markets, and secured strong investor demand throughout the process. It was also notable as the first IPO in the Russian banking sector since 2011, and the second largest IPO in Russia in 2013.

This recognition from The Banker builds on recent plaudits for the company. The Sberbank CIB team won four prizes in EMEA Finance's Achievement Awards 2013. In addition, during 2013 Sberbank CIB won Euromoney's "Deal of the year for Emerging Europe", four awards at Euroweek's Emerging Markets Bond Awards and three accolades in Euroweek's EMEA ECM Awards.
