OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2014. Foreign direct investment into the processing industry of Kazakhstan increased by more than 90% with the launch of the Customs Union.

This was reported by Director of International Economic Integration Department of MEBP RK Ernar Bakenov at a briefing in CCS.

"On average, foreign direct investment in the economy during this period increased by 34% only," E. Bakenov said.

"These facts are the result of a set of measures undertaken by the Government both by industrialization of the economy and support small and medium-sized businesses," E. Bakenov said.
