OREANDA-NEWS. May 20, 2014. Scandinavian Airlines SAS will offer its customers direct return flights between Oslo and Vilnius on December 19, 21, 26, 28, and on January 4 and 5 of the coming year.

Flights between the Norwegian and Lithuanian capitals will be operated by Boeing 737-700, flight tickets will be available for purchase from May 13, 2014.

“There are a lot of Lithuanians living and working in Norway, many of them tend to come back home for winter holidays or vacations. As a result, the demand for direct flight between Lithuania and Norway during the winter seasonal festivities increases, therefore, in order to meet customer demand, we are offering a direct flight between Oslo and Vilnius”, said Ruta Juciene, SAS General Manager Baltic States.

Due to the new route, SAS passengers will also have convenience connections via Oslo to other Norwegian cities such as Bergen, Bodo, Evenes, Haugesund, Molde, Stavanger, Trondheim, Tromso, and other.

In total, Scandinavian Airlines SAS are operating 92 weekly flights between the main airports in Scandinavia and Lithuania. This includes 38 weekly flights between Vilnius and Copenhagen, 26 weekly flights between Palanga and Copenhagen, as well as 28 weekly flights between Vilnius and Stockholm.
