OREANDA-NEWS. PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih”, the largest company of the mining and steel sector of Ukraine, launches “Everest -2014” program for graduate students of higher educational institutions. The aim of the “Everest” program is the search of ambitious and talented young specialists-graduates of 2013-2014 year, who have a potential to build successful career at the international company ArcelorMittal. The “Everest” program is optimized for 2-2.5 years, during which participants are suggested a possibility to work in structural units of PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih” as probationary specialists with further employment in the company with the plan of career development. The program suggests the participation of probationary specialists in most important corporate projects and also intense theoretical education (on-line courses and classes). For each probationary, an individual plan of rotation within the units of PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih” is planned, in some cases, at the international level at the companies of ArcelorMittal corporation also, judging by abilities and achievements of a program participant.

Competition of candidates for participation in the program will be done by the next industrial directions: Health and Safety and Environment Protection, Mining (OBP and mine), coke and by-product, agglomeration, rolling and steelmaking production, energy, product quality, automation, logistics and transport, HR management, Marketing and Sales, Project Management, Capital Repairs and Construction, Mechanical Repair Works, IT.

Among criteria of candidates' competition for participation in the “Everest” program, 2014, are high level of professional training, knowledge of English at the intermediate level and higher, geographical and functional flexibility, which means readiness of participants to rotate within ArcelorMittal company's business units, and also acquisition of new qualification for participation in different projects.

Contest selection for participation in the “Everest” program suggests several stages and it is conducted clearly and openly. In the initial stages of selecting candidates pass online computer tests (English language tests and test on comprehension of verbal, numerical and abstract information), which guarantees confidentiality and impartiality of the testing. During further stages, candidates go through profile interviews and assessment centers, where HR Department specialists and representatives of other departments of the company grade abilities of participants by developed methodology. Afterwards, expert group makes final decision about acceptance to the program graduate students.

During the probation period, participants of the program receive monthly payment and use all benefits, which are standard for each employee of PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih” according to Collective Agreement (possibilities of healthcare and rest in health improvement centers of the company and medical establishments of Ukraine, medical insurance, paid sick leave and annual vacation). Applications for participation in the “Everest” program are being accepted till May 31st, 2014.
