OREANDA-NEWS. On May 17, 2014, the workforce at Vanino Bulk Carrier Terminal (ZAO Daltransugol) achieved a record in railway cars unloading by handling 1,034 cars in a single-day.

“This is a new indicator in the Terminal's performance, potentially a new target for future work,” believes Evgeny Ponomarev, Manufacturing Director, ZAO Daltransugol. “The new record means the Terminal is fit to unload more than 2,000,000 tonnes of coal per month.”

The record was set up by machinery-operating docker teams 3 and 4, the working shift dispatching supervisors O. D. Borodin and A. S. Us, the railway station duty officers I. M. Titarenko and D. V. Krutov.

Machinery-operating docker team 3 repeatedly set up records in railway cars unloading: 561 railway cars were unloaded during a single working shift on June 22, 2013; 973 railway cars were unloaded jointly with team 4 on April 26, 2014; 581 railway cars were unloaded during a single working shift on April 30.

“We primarily achieve such performance indicators due to up-to-the-second fine-tuned procedures”, stressed Vladimir Shapoval, executive director, ZAO Daltransugol.

B. M. Musyanovich, Deputy Minister of Industry and Transport for infrastructure projects marked the highly professional work of the Daltransugol staff, “Daltransugol achievements boost the overall operation across the Far Eastern Railway, increase the volumes of handled cargoes, and consequently contribute to the economic growth and social development of the Khabarovsk Territory.”
