OREANDA-NEWS.   Anna Shilina, Deputy Director General of OJSC KAMAZ for HRM and OD, is taking part in the 2nd National Championship WorldSkills Russia 2014 that has opened in Kazan today.
The championship which will come to an end on May 20 is being held with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. OJSC KAMAZ will demonstrate the participants of the event its achievements: a mobile classroom for truck drivers and a sports vehicle of the KAMAZ-master team.
Anna Shilina attended an opening ceremony as a distinguished guest. Also, KAMAZ’s representatives Vladimir Estyunin, Deputy Director of the Engine Plant for Human Resources, and Artyom Zhilenkov, PSK Development Consultant, will take part in the business part of the competition. Vladimir Estyunin will share KAMAZ’s experience in the organization of skills competitions and also tell about the regional stage of the competition WorldSkills Russia 2014 carried out jointly with the Technical College for milling machine operators performing milling operations on NC machines. Artyom Zhilenkov will deliver a speech on Lean Manufacturing.
The WorldSkills championships are conducted to enhance the prestige of blue-collar jobs and get young people involved in industrial sectors, and also improve professional and educational standards with account of national and international requirements. During the championship, competitions will be held for 35 main and 4 presentational professions. About 1,200 people from more than 50 regions of Russia will participate in the competitions. These are the best young foremen: milling NC machine operators, lathe NC machine operators, welders, robot technicians, mechanotronics engineers, system administrators, film editors, technicians and representatives of other professions. WorldSkills gives young experts an opportunity to make themselves known, demonstrate their professional skills, open up new horizons. The winners of the WSR 2014 National Championship will represent Russia at WorldSkills International (WSI) which will take place in Sao Paulo (Brazil) in 2015.
