OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2014. By 2020, 75 new international air communications will be opened in Kazakhstan. It has been reported by the Minister of Transport and Communications Zhenis Kasymbek.

"By 2020 we plan to expand the number of international routes and offer 75 new international destinations," Kazakhstan's Minister of Transport and Communications Zhenis Kasymbek announced at the IX international conference on transport and transit potential "TransEurasia-2014".

Minister also informed that 13 airstrips and 9 terminals across the country have gone through renovation. "All take-off runways will be reconstructed by 2020," he specified.

The Head of Transport and Communications Ministry also mentioned the project on development of the International sea port in Aktau. The project developed in cooperation with Singapore's IPD Company is expected to increase intake capacity of the port from 16.8 up to 20.5 million tons.
