OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2014. Export of Kazakhstan petrochemical products is expected to reach USD 2.5 billion by 2019. It has been announced by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev at the VII Astana Economic Forum.

"Petrochemicals, in fact, will be a new branch. In 2019, we will have domestic polypropylene, polyethylene, polymeric products and export will be at least USD 2.5 billion taking about five percent of the share of the manufacturing industry, almost from scratch," he said.

He also reminded that the task to complete modernization of all three refineries, to provide refining not less than 19 million tons per year, to supply the domestic market with domestic motor fuel of Euro-4 and Euro-5 standard, aircraft fuel and other fuels fully is set in oil processing in 2016-2017.
