OREANDA-NEWS.  OJSC KAMAZ is taking part in the 7th Integrated Safety and Security Exhibition 2014 which is to open in All-Russia Exhibition Centre (Moscow) today.
KAMAZ will show a unique new product which is to attract customers’ interest in a wide range of the company’s products – a fire blaster tank truck ATs-3,0-40 on a KAMAZ-43502 (4x4) chassis – at the ISSE. The tanker is designed to transport a crew, fire extinguishants, to deliver water, fine water (water spray) or fire-fighting foam to the site of the fire. It is used as an independent unit for fire extinguishing in settlements, manufacturing entities and in forest zones. A water cistern holds 3,000 l, a foam tank contains 200 l. The design by AUDI and Volkswagen developers, an innovation fire extinguishing system, a new HIROMAX water mist fire extinguishing system, a tank and a GRP-faced welded structural frame made of stainless steel and aluminum make the model indispensable for firefighters.
The leader of the Russian automobile industry has long been developing advanced and reliable vehicles and special equipment for the Armed Forces and EMERCOM of Russia. More than 350 models of armaments and military equipment are mounted on KAMAZ chassis. The Russian Government considers OJSC KAMAZ as one of enterprises strategically important for Russia and guarantors of national security. EMERCOM has over 3.5 thousand units of special equipment based on KAMAZ chassis, but the ministry actually needs almost 5 thousand units. So, EMERCOM is expected to remain one of KAMAZ’s active customers for several years ahead.
