OREANDA-NEWS. Alexey Miller, Chairman of Gazprom's Management Committee and Rustem Khamitov, President of the Republic of Bashkortostan gathered for a business meeting in Ufa today.

The parties discussed the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement. They particularly considered gasification of the republic. In 2002-2013, Gazprom spent 2.7 billion roubles for this purpose and built 18 inter-settlement gas pipelines. As a result of Gazprom and Bashkortostan Government cooperation, by the beginning of 2014, the gasification level of the region has reached 87.3% (the national average equals 65.3%). This year Gazprom is planning to spend 330 billion roubles on Bashkortostan gasification.

Alexey Miller and Rustem Khamitov discussed prospects for JSC “Gazprom neftekhim Salavat” further development and for increasing the Company's production volumes.

The meeting highlighted the development of gas station network in Bashkortostan. Today 11 gas stations function in the region (two of them are located in Ufa), all of them belonging to Gazprom. This year LLC “Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo” (Gazprom Gas-Motor Fuel) is planning to complete the design documentation and construct two more gas stations in Ufa.

It was pointed out at the meeting that Gazprom takes an active part in developing social infrastructure in Bashkortostan. As part of the “Gazprom to Children” Programme, Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve (Ufa) and 16 multi-functional children's sports grounds were constructed. An indoor rink is now undergoing construction in Ufa. One sports ground is under construction, six more are under modernization.

Alexey Miller drew Rustem Khamitov's attention to the necessity of taking measures to arrange for debt repayment by Bashkortostan consumers for the supplied gas. Since January till March 2014 the debt has grown by more than 1.4 billion roubles reaching more than 4.1 billion roubles as of April 1, 2014.
