OREANDA-NEWS. June 03, 2014. Altel JSC announced launching innovational LTE/GSM/UMTS network. It allows using high speed data transfer by LTE technology on a smart phone, voice calls will be automatically transferred to GSM/UMTS network.

The first in Kazakhstan converge networks with simultaneous support of 4G/3G/2G technologies represented in Almaty, Astana, Karaganda, Aktobe, Atyrau, Aktau, Shymkent, Ust-Kamenogorsk. In September 2014 Altel intents to provide coverage of network in all oblast centers of the republic. By the end of 2014 communication on basis of LTE/UMTS/GSM technology will appear in all cities of Kazakhstan with population over 50 000 people.

By words of Maksut Sauranbekov, Chairman of the Board of Altel JSC, one of key advantages of new operators will be a unique line of tariff plans, where the global experience of leading mobile operators was in the basis. Altel rates are absolutely new by its logic– we offer to pay for Internet access only, providing voice services inside the network for free as a bonus ", - said M.Sauranbekov.

Basing on modern technologies and equipment, multi technological network allows using the row of innovational functions and develops. Thus, within the zone of GSM/UMTS from Altel subscribers can get "HD-voice" voice technology. The network is made technically for providing voice services over LTE services by VoLTE technology and realization of the following step fro developing 4 generation network - LTE Advanced.

Altel- affiliated Kazakhtelecom company, the first started providing mobile services on territory of Republic of Kazakhstan in 1994. Data transfer network from Altel is based on optical Kazakhtelecom network and uses network, built on IP technology, that gives many advantages by network capacity and data transfer speed. Speaking on integration of two operators, Kuanyshbek Yesekeyev, Chairman of the Board of Kazakhtelecom JSC noted the following: "This is an alliance of mobile and fixed business resources, which will allow presenting converge products to the market, including Quadroplay".

LTE network was launched on 25 December 2012 in Astana and Almaty within execution of errand of Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and realization of Program on strategic development of broadband data transfer network.
