OREANDA-NEWS. The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)with Jebel Ali Free Zone FZE (JAFZA), Dubai, UAE. The agreement supports further collaborative efforts in relation to Japanese companies' business development in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZ).

JAFZ is a free trade zone that was established in Dubai in 1985 and is administered and overseen by the government organization, JAFZA. There are 7,100 companies from around the world operating in JAFZ, of which 116 companies are Japanese. JAFZ lies at the core of the Middle East and Africa and is the largest free economic zone in Dubai, which continues to establish its presence as the regional trading hub.

Through the MOU, BTMU aims to further support clients to promote and expand their business in JAFZ through providing comprehensive information on the investment climate and investment trends.

BTMU has established a wide network in the Middle East, comprised of its Dubai Branch, Abu Dhabi Branch, Bahrain Branch, Doha Office, Tehran Representative Office, Cairo Representative Office and local banking subsidiary, BTMU Turkey.
